And what is a double bitted key lock? Those doors in which externally you do not see any type of cylinder lock, but rather an elongated opening, normally in the center of a flat escutcheon (or a rounded plate, as in the case of the DIERRE locks), are the ones that have this type of lock. Its keys are completely different from the usual ones, consisting of an elongated rounded “rod” ending in two lateral bits (with the jumps corresponding to the lock combination).
